Between one epically bad concert and a cancelled string of tour dates, Kings of Leon have certainly been no strangers to unwanted publicity this summer.

But according to drummer Nathan Followill, you can put at least one rumor in the "untrue" column.

Responding to rumors that the band was firing singer Caleb Followill, Nathan -- who is brothers with Caleb -- took to Twitter with a succinct rebuttal: "BREAKING NEWS: Kings Of Leon has kicked Caleb out and Jared and Matt will be taking over lead vocals. Where do people come up with this s—? Hilarious."

While it isn't hard to pinpoint the origins of the rumor -- it was Caleb's "vocal issues and exhaustion" that scuttled the band's American summer run -- it's still nice to hear that the guys are managing to stick together in a difficult time.

Kings of Leon's most recent album, 'Come Around Sundown,' reached number two on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, was certified gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 copies, and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song.
