Papa Roach have packed a lot of music into a relatively short period, churning out a new album on an average of every two years since their debut disc in 1997. Once teen rockers hoping someone outside of their hometown of Vacaville, Calif., would take notice, Papa Roach are now seasoned vets, pretty tight in their sound and a continual presence at radio and on tour.

The band was initially lumped in with the nu metal / rap-rock sounds of the late '90s / early 2000s, but on several occasions during their career, they've had the foresight to evolve their sound and remain as vital as ever. You know the songs by heart and some of their albums have provided the soundtracks for many fans' lives.

But which albums made a true connection with listeners and which discs struggled a little bit to find their way? Scroll through the gallery above as we rank Papa Roach's studio albums from weakest to strongest.
