How Much Money Do You Have in Your Savings? — Survey of the Day
In these tough economic times, it's more important than ever to have a chunk of money squirrelled away somewhere. Of course, these tough economic times also make it really, really hard to actually do that.
So how is the typical American dealing with this paradox? According to a poll of 1,100 adults by credit-card-comparison company Credit Donkey, 59 percent currently have more than $500 in savings and 41 percent do not.
The survey also found that 54 percent of American adults have no specific savings strategy in which a certain percentage of their income gets banked.
