Scottish golfer Elliot Saltman did not win the Madrid Masters but did walk away with a major prize - his weight in delicious ham. Ham was the prize for a hole-in-one at the third hole but other prizes for different holes included a car and watch. Saltman joked after the round that he'd been trying to lose weight.

Heavily cured and salted ham is a Spanish delicacy. So just how much ham did Saltman walk away with? A tournament spokeswoman told The Associated Press that he'd get about 238 pounds of ham, which is Saltman's listed weight on his official European Tour profile.

Saltman (kind of ironic last name considering the reward) has a knack for sinking holes-in-one. He hit two at the Wales Open in June. If he keeps up this hole-in-one rate on prize ham holes, he'll be able to keep his family fed for at least a decade. Sadly they'll all suffer from high-blood pressure.
