The Los Angeles Lakers barely managed to get into the NBA playoffs, after struggling through much of the regular season. But will they last?
One thing going against the Lakers is the fact that they are without their veteran leader, and star player, Kobe Bryant. Kobe tore his Achilles tendon last Friday against the Golden State Warriors. He had successful surgery, but is out six to nine months to recover.
The Lakers have secured a spot in the playoffs as a 7-seed. They still have big weapons in Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard, so they do have a chance to last, but for how long?
