Vanessa Minnillo Not Afraid to Discuss New Husband Nick Lachey’s Ex-Wife, Jessica Simpson

Nick Lachey, the former boy-bander and current TV host who's best known for the reality show 'Newlyweds' with his former wife Jessica Simpson, took the marital plunge again a few weeks ago with his longtime girlfriend, media personality Vanessa Minnillo.

‘Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding,' which aired July 30 on TLC, documented their nuptials, which took place on a private island owned by billionaire magnate Richard Branson. The fairytale wedding went off without a hitch, but Minnillo knew it was only natural that the event would remind viewers of her new husband's previous marriage to Simpson.

“To address the elephant in the room, yes, coincidentally at the same time our wedding [is] going his ex is actually also doing the beautiful thing of getting married herself,” she said, referring to Simpson's own upcoming wedding to Eric Johnson. “I think that [Jessica] would probably pray as much as I do, that [we're allowed] to have our own moments."
