Taylor Swift Spends a Staggering $2.5 Million on a Mansion for Her Mom and Dad
In a move that pretty much locks up Daughter of the Year honors for her, Taylor Swift has plunked down $2.5 million on a 5,600-square-foot Nashville mansion for her mom and dad.
Let this be a lesson to you, parents: supporting your children's dreams can really pay off. Big time.
Mr. and Mrs. Swift's new pad, otherwise known as the Northumberland Mansion, boasts a lot of history in Nashville -- the house was built in the 1930s by a U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, and the list of previous owners includes Luke Lewis, chairman of the Universal Music Group.
When they move in, Taylor's mom and pop will have four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms to call their own, not to mention an array of other assorted rooms -- and, of course, a pool. Think they're happy about paying for those guitar lessons right now?
