Get Off the Coach or Striiv’s Pedometer Will Text You Into Shape
Doctors have been telling us to take at least 10,000 steps a day to stay in shape and prevent health risks, but who has the time? Apparently, the new Striiv pedometer proves that it’s not a question of having time, it’s a question of having the right motivation.
The geniuses over at Striiv, Inc. found the answer in their new technology. For a meager $99, you can get a fancy, new pedometer, about the size of a key fob, that will help inspire and motivate you to take more steps every day.
You just carry the Striiv pedometer in your pocket and it counts your steps for you all day, no matter where you’re walking. It’ll let you know if you’ve taken enough steps to walk off a serving of French fries. It’ll give you motivational messages and rewards for new personal bests. It’ll let you play games, and the more steps you take, the more you get to play. It’ll even report back to Striiv, Inc., who will donate money to charitable causes if you take enough steps.
Perhaps the Striiv will be the answer to that “get healthy” New Year’s resolution. How could it not be when it’s like having a teeny tiny personal trainer with you all day, except without the yelling and push-ups?
