Best Known For: A two-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Joe Theismann played for the Washington Redskins from 1974 to 1985. He was the NFL's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year in 1983. Theismann quarterbacked the Redskins' team that won Super Bowl XVII. His professional career ended after a sack by Lawrence Taylor of the New York Giants caused a compound fracture of his lower right leg during a nationally televised game. Prior to his NFL career, Theismann played with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League from 1971 through 1973. He played his college football at Notre Dame, where he was 20-3-2 as a starter. Since his retirement, Theismann has served as a football analyst for various networks.

Bob Stoops

Profession: College Football Coach
Best Known For: Bob Stoops has been the head football coach of the University of Oklahoma since 1999. In 2000, Stoops led Oklahoma to a victory in the Orange Bowl and a national championship. He was named Walter Camp Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2003. His teams have won seven Big 12 championships.
