Katy Perry’s ‘The One That Got Away’ Could Make History as Sixth Single from ‘Teenage Dream’
Katy Perry is about to release a new pop single from her album 'Teenage Dream'-- and it could make history for her.
The song will be 'The One That Got Away.' All five of Perry's previous singles from the album went to number one on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart -- and if this single reaches the top spot too, it'll mark the first time in history any artist has had six number ones from the same album. Michael Jackson also scored five number ones, on his album 'Bad' in 1987 and 1988. Perry is currently tied with Jackson and is the first woman to earn five chart-toppers from the same album.
'The One That Got Away' will be released next month. Perry's five number ones from 'Teenage Dream' are ‘California Gurls,’ ‘Teenage Dream,’ ‘Firework,’ ‘E.T.’ and ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’
