Justin Bieber Announces He’s Making a Christmas Album
Do you hear what we hear? It's the sound of millions of Justin Bieber fans shrieking with glee at the news that the junior pop phenom will be releasing a Christmas album this year.
Bieber broke the news via Twitter and an interview with TMZ this week, revealing that he's been in the studio cutting some holiday tunes -- and for a good cause, too.
Speaking with TMZ, Bieber said, "We’re doing a Christmas [album] and it’s probably gonna be done by the end of this month and then we’re gonna start the next album, and then I gotta go on a South American tour." He then followed the news by telling his Twitter followers, "So it’s true…been in the studio doing something special for Christmas. we are going to try and raise a lot of money this year for charity!"
No word yet on a title, track listing, or release date for the holiday release, but it's safe to assume that record store retailers all over the world went to sleep last night with visions of ringing cash registers dancing in their heads.
