How Can You See Movies for Just $1 This Summer? — Dollars and Sense
If you love going to the movies but are on a limited budget, this will give you cause for celebration: hundreds of theaters across the US will be selling tickets to selected movies and showings for just $1 this summer.
In the annual Summer Movie Express, many theaters are offering $1 tickets to the 10 a.m. screenings of many family-friendly films on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You won't see first-run movies at this price, but you can still take in flicks like 'Dolphin Tale,' 'Puss in Boots,' 'Hugo,' 'Adventures of Tin Tin,' 'Happy Feet Two' and 'Rio.'
The promotion is the mastermind of Regal Entertainment Group, which runs almost 300 Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres. And hundreds of other theaters around the country are participating, too. You'll find the special prices starting in the next couple of weeks, and they'll run through August.
Not only are the cheaper prices good for your wallet, some of the money collected will go to a good cause -- the Will Rogers Institute, a nonprofit that works in medical research and health education.
