‘Green Mile’ Actor Doug Hutchison Marries 16-Year-Old in Vegas

And now for the weirdest thing to come out of Vegas since 'Showgirls': According to E! Online, 'Green Mile' character actor Doug Hutchison married 16-year-old aspiring Nashville star Courtney Alexis Stodden on May 20 in Las Vegas.

If that wasn't weird enough, try this: Hutchison is 51.

Still, though this story is automatically cringe-worthy, the couple insists their love is real and that they are very, very happy.

"We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial," the couple said through their spokeswoman. "But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless." (See the couple's wedding photo here.)

According to PopEater, minors in Vegas are allowed to marry with the consent of a parent or legal guardian - which automatically takes the Stoddens out of the running for Parents of the Year.

In addition to 'The Green Mile,' Hutchison has appeared on 'The X Files' and, more recently, ABC's 'Lost' (pictured). Stodden is a former beauty pageant queen.
