Inspiring High School Football Player With Prosthetic Leg Cleared to Play Again
Koni Dole is head and shoulder – and legs – above the competition.
Dole has returned to the football team with Montana’s Huntley Project High School, despite the fact he has a prosthetic leg.
Dole had to have his leg amputated last year after he broke it in a game. He was determined to return to the gridiron and he officially got his wish this week when the Montana High School Association formally cleared him to play.
Dole’s story is remarkable. Despite the prosthesis, he was wrestling this past January. And he also has a future in football -- Montana State has offered him preferred walk on status to its team.
