Filmmaker Offers Director Kevin Smith $10,000 to Review His Movie
This might be an offer that Kevin Smith just can't refuse.
A filmmaker from New Jersey, Jim Riffel, has offered the 'Clerks' director $10,000 if he will review his new horror-comedy film. Why Smith? Riffel says it's because "this film is a comedy, and Kevin Smith made some great comedies so I'm hoping it might be a good match." It will certainly get people's attention.
Now, Smith probably doesn't need the money, but what might make him do it is that the money can go to any charity Smith wants. And Riffel says that any money that comes from the release of the film can also go to the charity of Smith's choice.
Of course, this could backfire if Smith hates the movie and savages it. Then again, as the old saying goes, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
What's the name of the film, you ask? We hope you have a few seconds because it's going to take awhile to pass that info along. It's 'Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Hellbound, Flesh-Eating, Crawling, Alien, Zombified, Subhumanoid, Living Dead -- Part 5.'
