The Green Bay defense recorded seven sacks and four interceptions, as the Packers beat the Chicago Bears, 23-10, at Lambeau Field on Thursday night. Green Bay (1-1) avoided an 0-2 start, while Chicago (1-1) evened its record on the season.

After the offenses of both teams struggled early, the Packers tallied 13 points in the second quarter, including a touchdown pass from punter Tim Masthay to backup tight end Tom Crabtree on a fake field goal attempt. Bears' kicker Robbie Gould made a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter, but Green Bay added 10 fourth quarter points, including a 26-yard scoring pass from Aaron Rodgers to Donald Driver with 11:17 to play.

Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler tossed a late, 21-yard touchdown pass to Kellen Davis to account for the final score. Cutler completed just 11 of 27 passes for 126 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions on the night. Bears' running back Matt Forte rushed for 31 yards on seven carries before leaving with an ankle injury.

Packers' linebacker Clay Matthews registered 3.5 of the seven sacks on Cutler. Rodgers completed 22 of 32 passes for 219 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Green Bay, while teammate Jordy Nelson caught six passes for 84 yards.
