Yesterday Jason Collins made history coming out as gay, the first man in major professional American sports to do so.

Following that announcement came a slew of commentary from all corners of the media, including ESPN basketball reporter Chris Broussard. While Collins received high levels of support for the most part, Broussard is taking heat for some comments he made on ESPN's 'Outside the Lines' program.

Broussard, a born-again Christian, was asked for his take on Collins' claim to being of Christian faith. Broussard gave his opinion and quoted parts of the Bible, saying he doesn't see Collins as Christian and that he sees being gay (among other things) as "an open rebellion to God." Did he go too far?
