The Memphis Grizzlies have a secret weapon.

The NBA team recently drafted an eight-year-old boy with cerebral palsy as part of a request he made with Make-A-Wish.

Late last month, Charvis Brewer, who’s been a Grizzlies fan all his life, got to spend the day at practice with the team. He got to meet the players and sit in on meetings.

Charvis’ mother, Colissia Brewer, said it was a wonderful experience:

Charvis doesn't get a chance to do stuff like regular kids, he has cerebral palsy, and he cannot walk so today, it's all about him.”

Charvis, who’s been in a wheelchair since he was born, also got to see the Grizzlies host the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Unfortunately, Memphis fell to Chicago, 95-91.
