The green revolution is strong among young drivers, the majority of whom prefer eco-friendly vehicles over any other type of car.

Deloitte asked 2,050 19-31-year olds what type of car they would most like to purchase. Fifty-seven said a hybrid. Thirty-seven percent want a vehicle with a traditional gas-only power train, while two percent are looking for a purely electric automobile.

While this may have something to do with environmental concerns, high gas prices also clearly come into play as 89 percent of the young drivers surveyed cited fuel efficiency as a major consideration when buying a vehicle.
