'Tis the season to receive gifts. Inevitably, some of the presents your friends and loved ones will be nice enough to give you won't be anything you particularly want or need.

So, do you try to make these unwanted gifts usefull by wrapping them back up and giving them to somebody else who might actually appreciate them?

According to new survey from Poll Position of 1,139 adults, the public is split on the practice of re-gifting. Forty-five percent say they have re-gifted a present, while 44 percent say they haven't.

Age plays a large role in whether somebody has re-gifted, since only 26 percent of the over-65 crowd admits to having ever done this. So does gender -- 52 percent of women have recycled a present, whereas only 37 percent of men have.
