The Westboro Baptist Church is at it again, this time vowing to protest at the funeral of former Penn State coach Joe Paterno.

The small Kansas-based group, known for conducting protests of American servicemembers' funerals while carrying signs reading "God Hates F*gs," says it will show up at Paterno's memorial because of his alleged role in protecting Jerry Sandusky in the child sex abuse scandal at Penn State -- actions that ultimately ended Paterno’s storied 46-year tenure at the school.

Margie Phelps, the WBC’s lawyer and daughter of leader Fred Phelps, announced the group’s plans on Twitter, saying, “’Penn State Penn Rape’ rings in Joe Paterno’s ears in hell. He partook of sin for fame & fortune. Worth NOTHING to him now. #PicketFuneral”

Paterno died on Sunday at the age of 85.
