Classic rock artists may not get much love on top 40 radio anymore, but that doesn’t mean no one’s listening to their music. Quite the contrary.

According to Pollstar’s mid-year report of worldwide concert grosses, some of the most popular tours of 2011 are being led by older rock acts.

In fact, the first three slots on the Pollstar list are taken up by U2 ($164 million), Roger Waters ($97.9 million), and Bon Jovi ($92.1 million), with fellow vet Elton John coming in ninth. The top 10 are rounded out by Lady Gaga, Usher, Kylie Minogue, Kenny Chesney, Andre Rieu, and Taylor Swift.

A number of other heritage artists popped up in Pollstar’s top 50, including the Eagles (number 13), Iron Maiden (number 17), Paul McCartney (number 18), Eric Clapton (number 19), Rush (number 24), and Ozzy Osbourne (number 30).
