Remember the fellow who was arrested after throwing a hot dog at Tiger Woods last Sunday?

Well, 31-year-old Brandon Kelly finally opened up to the press about why he resorted to wiener tossing when he saw Woods lining up a putt on the seventh hole of the Frys.com Open. His explanation is pretty out there.

“I threw the hot dog toward Tiger Woods because I was inspired by the movie ‘Drive,’” Kelly told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. “As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, ‘I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger.”

'Drive' stars Ryan Gosling, who portrays a stunt-man-turned gateway-driver dealing with a very tricky situation. No hot dogs were thrown in the film.

Kelly was charged with a misdemeanor for disturbing the peace, and faces a fine and community service
