Sugarland Set to Return to Indiana for Free Show Following Deadly Stage Collapse
The last time they scheduled a show in Indiana, Sugarland made headlines for all the wrong reasons, suffering a horrific stage collapse that claimed the lives of seven concertgoers and injured more than 40 others.
The band broke the news via Twitter, telling followers, "We will return to Indiana for a free concert at Conseco Fieldhouse on Oct. 28th."
Fans who held tickets for the disastrous August 13 show will get first dibs on seats for the October 28 performance, via a first-come first-serve "presale" running from October 10-14. Following that, Ticketmaster will distribute the rest of the tickets, free of charge; the only caveat appears to be a four-ticket limit per household.
Fittingly, the October 28 show will serve as the final stop on Sugarland's Incredible Machine Tour, wrapping up a tragedy-stricken string of dates by offering a triumphant tribute to the band's fans, the lives affected on August 13, and the enduring power of music.
