Ashley Moser, who was seriously wounded in the Colorado theater shooting two weeks ago, not only faces the physical pain of recovery, but a pair of devastating emotional losses as well -- her six-year-old daughter was killed in the tragedy, and Moser also suffered a miscarriage as a result of her injuries.

''[She] is recovering from an additional surgery she had this morning,'' read a family statement. ''Tragically, the extreme trauma she sustained also caused a miscarriage."

Moser was shot in the neck and abdomen when James Holmes allegedly opened fire on a packed movie theater at a midnight showing of 'The Dark Knight Rises' on July 20. He has since been charged with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder.

Moser's daughter Veronica was the youngest of the 12 people killed in the rampage -- news her family kept from her until the 25-year-old's condition improved last week.

Now, as she copes with her daughter's death and the loss of her eight-week-old fetus, Moser also faces possible paralysis and "a lifetime of care." Her family has set up a fund to help defray her medical expenses, so if you'd like to donate, visit any Wells Fargo Bank and request the "Donation Account for Ashley and Veronica Moser."
