“New” Zodiac Signs? Don’t Panic!

Better double check before you answer. Yesterday, the Minnesota Star Tribune printed an article with proof that we might not be calculating those signs quite right — i.e., due to the motions of the planets, you could be a Sagittarius when you thought you were a Capricorn — leading to waves of consternation, denial, and tattoo-regret that subsequently swept through the internet.

Today, the interwebs reports that the signs haven't changed after all. Westerners follow the tropical zodiac, which unlike the eastern zodiac is unaffected by recent changes in the movements of the astral plane.
