Lady Antebellum Scheduled to Perform on ‘SNL’ in October
They cleaned up at the last Grammys, have sold more than three million copies of their latest record, and are gearing up to release one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year. What's next for Lady Antebellum?
Performing on the next season of 'Saturday Night Live,' for starters.
The hugely popular country trio will appear on the second episode of 'SNL's' 37th season, scheduled to kick off on September 24. It's been a longtime goal for singer Hillary Scott, who talked about it during an interview with Boston's Mix 104.1 last year. "I think being backstage and hopefully having conversations with a couple of those actors that are just hysterical, their timing is just so great, would be a lot of fun," she offered. "And not to mention everybody watches it, you know."
The band's appearance is scheduled to air October 1, a little over two weeks after the release of their third album, 'Own the Night.' The lead single 'Just a Kiss,' was released in May and has already topped the country charts, while also reaching the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100.
