Just about a year after it was originally scheduled, Kelly Clarkson‘s new album looks like it’s finally heading for stores.

‘Stronger,’ her fifth full-length release, has a brand new October 25 release date — but fans won’t have to wait that long to hear new music from the original ‘American Idol’ winner. She’ll debut her new single, ‘Mr. Know It All,’ via a live broadcast from her website on August 30.

Clarkson started working on the album back in 2009, enlisting an eclectic cast of producers and writers that included Rodney Jerkins, Claude Kelly, Toby Gad and Darkchild. At one point, she described the result as being influenced by “Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, and Radiohead,” as well as having “a little bit of a country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.”

An intriguing blend, to be sure, and fans will get their first chance to show their support when ‘Mr. Know It All’ goes on sale September 5. ‘Stronger’ follows 2009’s ‘All I Ever Wanted,’ which sold over 900,000 copies in the U.S. and spun off the hit singles ‘My Life Would Suck Without You,’ ‘I Do Not Hook Up,’ and ‘Already Gone.’
