According a new survey, the exercise habits of Americans have reminded stable since 2008.

Over the course of 2011, Gallup and Healthways polled over 350,000 adults on how many days a week they exercised for 30 minutes or more.

Fifty-one percent of the respondents said three or more days, 19 percent answered one or two days, and 30 percent did not exercise at all. These percentage are almost exactly the same as when the question was asked in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Guidelines for how much physical activity a person should get differ slightly, but there seems to be a consensus around roughly 30 minutes a day.
