Gladys Knight and Jaleel White Top Off the New ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Cast
After much hype and speculation, the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ cast was announced on ‘Good Morning America’ Tuesday morning. While there are a lot of familiar names, the list may surprise you with its lack of any truly shocking choices.
There has been a lot of buzz about which “B” or “C List” celebrities might be on the next season of ABC’s runaway hit. Speculation ranged from Paul Reubens to Tim Tebow. And now, the rumors can be put to rest, as the stars have been announced.
The show has put together the usual mix of TV personalities, recording artists and sports celebrities, with a few unexpected names thrown in. These are the celebrities who make up the cast of season 14 of ‘DWTS.’
Knight took time away from the studio to join the cast because, “the Pips never let me dance.” The eight-time Grammy winner is the Empress of Soul, and now we’ll see if she’s also the Empress of Dance. She will partner with Tristan MacManus.
Urkel is back, but does he have the moves? We saw Jaleel embody geekitude as Urkel on the show ‘Family Matters,’ but he hardly seemed like a graceful guy. Now he’s starring in an upcoming Syfy reality series called ‘Total Blackout.’ He will dance with two-time champion Kym Johnson.

We’ll finally get to see if Shepherd’s feet move as fast as her mouth. The outspoken co-host of ‘The View’ has won a Daytime Emmy Award, so perhaps the mirror ball trophy will join it on her mantle. She will dance with Val Chmerkovskiy.
