It took them 28 years to get to the altar, but KISS rocker Gene Simmons, 62, and his longtime girlfriend, actress Shannon Tweed, 54, finally made it official on Saturday night.

In a lavish outdoor ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Tweed walked down the aisle in an ivory gown from Priscilla of Boston, swapping vows with Simmons as their two children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, looked on.

The wedding was witnessed by 400 other guests as well, including celebrities like Hugh Hefner and Bill Maher. Simmons' bandmate KISS lead singer Paul Stanley served as one of his groomsmen.

In lieu of gifts, Gene and Shannon asked wedding guests to donate to charities such as The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the ASPCA.

The nuptials will be shown during the new season of the A&E reality series, 'Gene Simmons Family Jewels,' on October 18.
