Game Is Already Working on His Next Album [VIDEO]
It took Game three years to complete his latest number one record, 'The R.E.D. Album,' but you'd have to argue it was time well spent -- it's his third chart-topping collection, and with less than a month on the shelves, it's already sold more than 150,000 units.
The West Coast's reigning rapper doesn't plan on being gone that long for his next album, however. In fact, he's already working on the follow-up -- and he's far enough along that he knows what he's calling it.
"The next album is called ‘Soundtrack to Chaos,’" he revealed during a video chat this week. He also discussed the album's sound, saying he's decided to do things a little differently this time around. "It’s my last album on Interscope. No features, nobody to clear. That’s it. Once the samples good, we good. Nobody on the hook except us. No Weezy, [Young Jeezy], Drake, no singer, no nothing -- just us. That’s it."
That'll certainly be a departure from hip-hop trends over the last several years. You can't buy a mainstream release without seeing the word "featuring" after a song title. In the meantime, Game will continue promoting 'The R.E.D. Album,' which has already spawned a pair of singles: 'Red Nation' (featuring Lil Wayne) and 'Pot of Gold' (featuring Chris Brown).
