Former NBA All-Star Alonzo Mourning is facing criminal charges after authorities say he left the scene of a highway accident in Miami on July 17.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Mourning’s Porsche Panamera S crashed into an Audi A4 around 3 a.m., just moments after the same Audi was overturned in another accident with a Chevrolet Impala. Neither driver were in their cars when Mourning’s car hit the Audi, the FHP said.

Mourning was with his wife at the time of the crash, on their way home from the wedding of Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh. Authorities say the 41-year-old Mourning got out of his vehicle to check on the drivers, but didn’t contact police until he got home an hour later. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

The former Heat star is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. Mourning was also cited for failure to leave his driving and contact information.
