Now that 5-year-old Hunter Addy is the owner of a platinum credit card from Capital One, he can finally splurge on that shiny new bike he's been eyeing.

Over the past few months, Addy received numerous junk mail offers from Capital One. His mom, Kristie Addy, grew disgruntled and finally gave the company a call. The customer service representative told her that Hunter wasn't old enough to be approved for a card and suggested he apply online and get rejected to stop the offers.

The plan backfired when the 5-year-old was instantly approved for the card. However, after a few additional calls, the situation was taken care of by Capital One. They say Addy was approved because the card is designed for those with little or no credit.
