'Take Care' isn't just the title of Drake's new album -- it's also apparently his philosophy when it comes to lining up guest artists.

During sessions for the upcoming release, due October 24, Drake invited current hitmakers like Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, but he also enlisted the help of a timeless icon whose name might surprise a few fans: Stevie Wonder.

"Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine," Drake explained during a recent interview. "I hit him, asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like, 'I will be there.'"

And he didn't just stop by for a quick visit, either. Drake says Wonder ended up performing on six songs for the album -- and his influence on 'Take Care' extends even further.

"He helped me out with [much of] the music," Drake recalled. "[He] just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience."
