It's been a little over a week since New Year's resolutions kicked in, officially long enough to determine if  you've started that diet that you promised yourself -- if, in fact, you picked what is usually the year's most popular resolution.

According to a new survey from Poll Position of 1,155 adults, 24 percent have started a diet in 2012, whereas 69 percent have not, and nine percent had no opinion on the matter, perhaps because they didn't want to jinx it.

Twenty-eight percent of women are dieting to kick off 2012, a slightly higher percentage than the 20 percent of men who are minding their weight in the new year.
