Casey Anthony's defense attorney, Jose Baez, who already has his eye on a gig as a TV legal analyst, reportedly met with a literary agent from Inkwell Management last week in the hopes of also landing a book deal.

The agent, Richard Pine, already represents authors such as Arianna Huffington and James Patterson.

But while Baez may be able to make a career from helping Anthony gain an acquittal after being tried for murder, his notorious client may not have the same opportunities to capitalize on her fame. The Facebook page of publishing behemoth Simon & Schuster was recently blasted with a wave of negative user comments after false rumors of a book deal with Anthony made the rounds.

Baez himself lost an opportunity when talent agency Paradigm signed him and then dumped him due to negative backlash.
