The late-night talk program ‘The Mo’Nique Show’ is going on hiatus and probably won’t return, BET has announced.

The cable network released the following statement to Entertainment Weekly,: "'The Mo’Nique Show' will be on production hiatus beginning in the fall. However, new episodes of the show will continue to air throughout the summer. Mo’Nique Hicks and 'The Mo’Nique Show' are important to the BET Networks family and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her.”

The show, hosted by Mo’Nique Hicks, first debuted in October 2009 and attracted 1.5 million viewers. However, it now only draws in about 540,000 viewers per episode.

Hick’s is also known for her Oscar-winning performance in the movie 'Precious.'
