It is often a young person's dream to move away from home to the big city once they have graduated from college.

Most new graduates want to hit the ground running on an exciting and successful career without wasting any time in obtaining the super-happy life that they feel they deserve.

Unfortunately, most new graduates are not prepared to be eaten alive by a big city such as New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago, which are the most commonly selected cities for young career-motivated people to move to because of the amount of available opportunity.

Yet, for some that opportunity comes with a price and often times does not equate as much happiness as they had hoped for.

So if not one of the big three, which cities in America offer the best chance for a new job-seeking graduate the opportunity to lead a balanced career and a happy life?

According to recent data provided by CareerBliss, St. Louis is the number one city in America for job seeking graduates to consider, followed by Sat Lake City, Utah and Jacksonville, Florida.

Other welcoming cities include Indianapolis, as well as Houston and San Antonio, Texas.

Even though Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York didn’t make the list, graduates are still welcome to move in and give it a try.
