They may be majestic creatures that represent the best of America's qualities - freedom, liberty and justice - but real-life Bald Eagles have a ferocious side, too.

Just ask residents in Anchorage, Alaska, where Bald Eagles have begun attacking customers outside of a nearby post office.

Reports say that the Eagles have been dive-bombing people as they walk in and out of the post office. In one specific case, the birds have done enough damage to draw blood.

Currently, there are no plans to remove the Bald Eagles, since they're protected under special federal laws for being the National Bird. However, authorities have posted signs around the area to warn patrons about possible impending attacks.

Perhaps the United States Postal Service should consider changing its logo to a critter that doesn't have a reputation for attacking its clients.
