Police in Conewango, New York tried to pull 17-year old Lewis D. Hostetler over on Monday, after they noticed he was operating his horse and buggy with a open container of beer in hand.

At which point the Amish teen showed a great deal of faith in his horse and led the police on a rare medium-speed horse and buggy chase.

Cattaraugus County, New York sheriff's deputies were eventually able to corral Hostetler, who continued his string of poor decisions by physically resisting arrest.

For his efforts, Hostetler got slapped with charges of resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume by a person under age 21, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, insufficient tail lamps and littering on a highway.

Interestingly, the minor doesn't seem to have been charged with DUI.

Let's hope this teen can find it in him to churn over a new leaf.
