Green Bay 45 – Minnesota 7

Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes, and the Green Bay Packers routed the Minnesota Vikings 45-7 on “Monday Night Football” to remain undefeated on the 2011 season. Green Bay (9-0) got an 80-yard punt-return for a touchdown from Randall Cobb in the first quarter, and the defending Super Bowl champions never looked back in dominating Minnesota (2-7).

Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Jordy Nelson and one each to Greg Jennings and John Kuhn, before Packers’ backup Matt Flynn relieved him in the fourth quarter with Green Bay ahead 38-7. Flynn had a 2-yard touchdown run to account for the final score. Rodgers completed 23 of 30 passes for 250 yards and the four touchdowns. Ten different Packers had receptions, with Nelson leading the way with five catches for 63 yards and the two scores.

The Vikings were never able to get rolling on offense, and their defense couldn’t stop the Green Bay attack, despite sacking Rodgers three times. Minnesota was led by running back Adrian Peterson, who finished with 51 yards rushing and a touchdown. Quarterback Christian Ponder threw for just 190 yards and an interception for the Vikings.
